Kalua Kabaret Shooting

Al Sharpton called this "...outrageous at best." Al, you are outrageous, at best.

Norman Siegle, former head of ACLU, was blaming the cops as quick as he could tonight on Fox News. Fox is where I heard it first, and the only ones so far to mention the fact that the 3 men fleeing police from the Kalua slammed into a police van, backed up, and rammed it again.

Guess what kids, if you use your car as a weapon against police, then you are going to get shot, AND YOU SHOULD BE.

I wasn't going to comment on this tonight, but I got into an arguement with someone about the situation. His arguement was that the guys were drunk, so stuff happens. He suggested the police should have "tried to subdue" the men, or to "call for backup".

That's crazy. 3 men, possibly drinking at a strip club, jump into their car and hit a man, then ram a van twice. I say SHOOT.

Because I'm feeling guilty...

I'm updating this rediculous blog. Like most things in my life, this was another "great project!" I could obsess over for a while before getting too busy with other projects and dropping it like a hot rock. I'm like that, though *oh look! something shiney!*.

Well, I voted on Nov. 6th. Absentee because I was going out of town for the week. I just got back this evening from Sacramento, CA. *shudders* I won't talk about the interactions except to say that my customer was fantastic. Those guys are all pretty conservative guys, so lunches were entertaining and I could speak my mind. They were also hot-shots in my field, which was cool and I'd actually worked with one of'em when he was with another company. Woah, I'm digressing. Shiney things.

Anyway, I VOTED, damn it. I felt great doing it. When I walked out of the city administration building to a crappy, drizzling rain - I felt even more steeled against that rain/world/politics because it was just one tiny adversity in a day spent overthrowing adversities. Ah well, some of the things I voted for were winners.

I'm seriously worried about the leftist take over of my country. I'm sick over the fact that my country's leader is not interested in protecting me or my way of life. I'm fearful when I think about the fact that our last-line-of-defense, the Courts, have already been fully infiltrated by 5th columnists.

All of which just pisses me off. I hate feeling weak and ineffectual. I've watched this come down the pipe since 1987. I realized that at 14 years old I could never, ever follow leftist ideals. Since that day I knew it would come to bloodshed in our own country, and it's going to. It has to, or I'll die in a socialist-secularlist hell-hole.

Seriously, guys, start stashing the guns in the churches. I don't think it would take a lot of bloodshed if we did it now. In fact, I think it would shock the country out of sleep in a way that could put us on the road to greatness, once again. Just a few public figures. That's all I'm saying.

How else do we handle the situation we have now? You don't change these kinds of views. They are deeply ingrained in most people's minds. They don't argue from a point of logic, which means they cannot reason logically, or they choose not to. If it's the former, then it's like putting down a potentially dangerous animal. If it's the latter, then we're dealing with a 5th columnist. Traitors deserve death.

I'd die to protect my country, or my family. That means I'd even die to protect the freedoms of the same jackasses who have already taken my freedoms away. I would, because I have to. Otherwise everything I've said, everything I am, has been a lie. To those who can understand this sentiment, I offer my grattitude that even if you don't agree with me, you are capable of honest and reasonable descision taking. I'm sick of trying to explain this position to people who think they are smarter than the average Joe.

I travel all over the country, and I meet a lot of different people. One day I'll work with someone who never graduated from High School and probably spends a lot of money on drugs. The next day I might work with someone who has multiple Masters Degrees in business and technology fields. Regardless of education or wage, most people live in the real world. They can understand the importance of freedom and sacrifice.

Shoot. I've had so much on my mind lately, I guess this is just a random outpouring of my need to express what's been swirling around in me. End.

Suspect II

Hah, it's worse than that. There are news-tickers on this website. It looks like you can click links to news stories and read the story. Not so. All links lead to the same page:

http://tarjim.sakhr.com/sakhr/vip/register.asp

So, I go to the Sakhr mainpage. Innocent enough. What are these guys about? Let's take a look at the corporate site. Here's where things get a little interesting. If you check out their company profile, you start to learn some things about the attitudes of this company.

So, I see there's a SakhrUSA. Just to see who's involved in the company, I look up the first non-American name I come to: Saad El-Fishawy. Wow, this dude is a heavy hitter. I also find that the parent company of Sahkr is a company called al-Alamiah Group.

Saad El-Fishawy helped found the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development in 1963. The fund looks legitimate, but there's billions of American dollars flowing through it to middle-eastern companies and governments, and 1963 was the second time the arab countries got pounded by Israel.

El-Fishawy has worked for Blue Water Capital, L.L.C., the World Bank, and now works for G. William Miller & Co. , Inc., which at the time of this posting was listed as "This domain name expired on 09/18/2006 and is pending renewal or deletion." by Network Solutions. Odd.

Well, it turns out William Miller is dead. You can view his obituary in the Washington Post. This guy had an interesting background as a former Federal Reserve Chairman and had a hand in 1970's policies and politics. He was a Democrat, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything nefarious. Perhaps gwilliammiller.com was directly administered by Mr. Miller and the website died with its owner.

In any event, Blue Water was apparently run by William Miller, too. What I have is about 2 hours worth of work on the internet. I don't believe it costs $1000 U.S. Dollars to translate 1M worth of Arabic text. There are many free on-line translators, and even the ones for which you must pay are in the range of $150.

Something seems amiss.

Suspect

I tried to set up an account on this website to translate Arabic to English. No mention of charges or money until I actually tried to use it. Here's what I read that sent me through the roof:

They Live

They Live is a cult classic film from the late '80s. I love the film. I don't love the utopian, left-ist message that runs through it. As it is with so many movies....ah well.

Anyway, the fact that the uber-leftist, John Carpenter, also pokes fun at his biggest ally, "the Media", made me think of this blog and the fact that I hadn't been doing my part for a long time. Work has been sucking out my soul over the last several months. My travel schedule was very heavy through November, into December, then I went straight into a new role while continuing to fulfill all my old duties. Yay!

Anyway, I know the antique media hates us "hack writers" with our own thoughts and free will. I'm sorry...what they hate is that we now have our own medium by which we can broadcast those independent thoughts. So, my last post was about the story from The Second Draft. And I come back with the latest from those guys....

Spread the word. Spread the truth. We must fight the Utopians, even if they think they're doing good.

The most powerful film you'll see this fall.

You absolutely must see this for yourself! It's from The 2nd Draft. Go straight there for the movie.

Please share these films and the site with your friends.

Rosa Parks was a Hero?

Rosa Parks has been in the media limelight a lot lately. There was a HBO special about her in 2002 and several books have been written on her "struggle".

What often isn't reported is that the event for which she has become so well known was staged by the NAACP. Parks was the Secretary of the NAACP, Montgomery, AL chapter at that time. She was also a member of the Socialist Party. On their website you can even find a book about how misrepresented Parks was as the kind of hero Capitalists can look up to. "The Legacy of Rosa Parks" directly states that:

"The brave lady who is being memorialized as the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" was a member of a well organized group ready to take action when she judged that the moment was right."

It's ironic that Ms. Parks' body will be displayed at the Lincoln Memorial. Rosa Parks hated America while President Lincoln welded it together.

I told you they were Socialists

A recent article posted on the Accuracy In Media site talks about the obviously socialist banners at a recent anti-war rally.

You can see in one of the photographs that participants are urged to "Break with the Democrats" and join the socialist party. They target Democrats because that ideology is so very closely aligned to their own.

Antediluvian New Orleans Was Paradise

No, it's true. From 1877 till 1980, Louisiana has been under the rule of the Democratic Party. From 1980 through the present, the leadership of the state has switched every 4 years. That's a combined total of 111 years of leftist policies.

The Democrat's stated agenda suggests they are the party of "security, opportunity, and responsibility." If this is the case, then New Orleans before the flood was safe, prosperous and just.

I suppose that's why the 2002 crime statistics for New Orleans are so far over the national average. Or why the unemployment rate has been so very high under democratic leadership for that state.

Really, the unemployment numbers literally ebb and rise under Republicans and Democrats respectively. From 1988 to present, you can actually see unemployment grow when a Democrat takes office and shrink immeidately after a Republican takes office. But...aren't the Democrats the party of the common man?

Oh, concerning justice in Pre-flood New Orleans; example after example after example.

So, with all the socialistic leadership in that area, why isn't it the model of enlightened society? Seriously, I'm really asking.

Can We Take Care of Ourselves?

I think we can. A business associate sent some friends the following e-mails to keep us appraised of his situation. He gave me permission to post them here:

From: Larry J (full name and e-mail addy removed to protect my friend)

Right now

We could sure use some more prayers!!

Thanks

Larry J.

You certainly had them, my friend. I couldn't help thinking about how things were going for them considering the news reports of people driving 25 miles in 8 hours.

Subject: Update

Well it's 2:00 PM and the sun is shining, blue sky and the wind is starting to blow slightly. If you didn't know you would think it was a nice fall day. The rain has started on Galveston and the tides are up along the beach and some of the roads are starting to flood. We are still 20 hrs. away from landfall. Some real neat stories are happening about how people are helping each other, driving full buses of evacuees directly up the ramps of waiting C130's at Ellington Air Force Base, reversing 150 miles of freeways to outbound only on three major highways, passing out water and gas to motorists 2.7 million leaving in 48hrs. All of this happening with our own resources used or depleted due to our response to Louisiana. Not bad TEXANS.
We have plenty of food and water, generator (sort of) and all we need for a week (I think). Anyone of y'all that know Valerie' know that we have food.

So for now we seem to be a little better off ( I believe because of all of the prayers) The storm has weaked a bit Winds down from 175mph w/ 220 gusts to 125mph w/160 gusts. which means here in Houston we will probably see 75 - 90 mph sustained for about 6 - 8 hrs. beginning at about 4:00 AM. A lot better than Beaumont with 115 mph. for about 16 hrs. Let you all know next week somehow.

Thanks for the Prayers

Larry J.

PS. I have COLD beer and ice for my Scotch , it could be a whole lot worse!!

Then Larry and V. send the following picture:

To that, a coworker added some excellent points:

Things I have noticed while watching media coverage of the recent
hurricanes.

Texas: Productive industrious state run by Republicans.
Louisiana: Government dependent welfare state run by Democrats.

Texas: Residents take responsibility to protect and evacuate themselves.
Louisiana: Residents wait for government to protect and evacuate them.

Texas: Local and state officials take responsibility for protecting their citizens and property.
Louisiana: Local and state officials blame federal government for not protecting their citizens and property.

Texas: Command and control remains in place to preserve order.
Louisiana: Command and control collapses allowing lawlessness.

Texas: Law enforcement officers remain on duty to protect city.
Louisiana: Law enforcement officers desert their posts to protect themselves.

Texas: Local police watch for looting.
Louisiana: Local police participate in looting.

Texas: Law and order remains in control, 8 looters tried it, 8 looters arrested.
Louisiana: Anarchy and lawlessness breaks out, looters take over city, no arrests, criminals with guns have to be shot by federal troops.

Texas: Considerable damage caused by hurricane.
Louisiana: Considerable damage caused by looters.

Texas: Flood barriers hold preventing cities from flooding.
Louisiana: Flood barriers fail due to lack of maintenance allowing city to flood.

Texas: Orderly evacuation away from threatened areas, few remain.
Louisiana: 25,000 fail to evacuate, are relocated to another flooded area.

Texas: Citizens evacuate with personal 3 day supply of food and water.
Louisiana: Citizens fail to evacuate with 3 day supply of food and water, do without it for the next 4 days.

Texas: FEMA brings in tons of food and water for evacuees. State officials provide accessible distribution points.
Louisiana: FEMA brings in tons of food and water for evacuees. State officials prevent citizens from reaching distribution points and vice versa.

Louisiana: Media focuses on poor blacks in need of assistance, blames Bush.
Texas: Media can't find poor blacks in need of assistance, looking for something else to blame on Bush.

Texas: Coastal cities suffer some infrastructure damage, Mayors tell residents to stay away until ready for repopulation, no interference from federal officials.
Louisiana: New Orleans is destroyed, Mayor asks residents to return home as another hurricane approaches, has to be overruled by federal officials.

Louisiana: Over 400 killed by storm, flooding and crime.
Texas: 24 killed in bus accident on highway during evacuation, no storm related deaths.

Texas: Jailed prisoners are relocated to other detention facilities outside the storm area.
Louisiana: Jailed prisoners are set free to prey on city shops, residents, and homes.

Texas: Local and state officials work with FEMA and Red Cross in recovery operations.
Louisiana: Local and state officials obstruct FEMA and Red Cross from aiding in recovery operations.

Texas: Local and state officials demonstrate leadership in managing disaster areas.
Louisiana: Local and state officials fail to demonstrate leadership, require federal government to manage disaster areas.

Texas: Fuel deliveries can't keep up with demand, some run out of gas on highway, need help from fuel tankers before storm arrives.
Louisiana: Motorists wait till storm hits and electrical power fails. Cars
run out of gas at gas stations that can't pump gas. Gas in underground tanks
mixes with flood waters.

Texas: Mayors move citizens out of danger.
Louisiana: Mayor moves himself and family to Dallas.

Texas: Mayors continue public service announcements and updates on television with Governor's backing and support.
Louisiana: Mayor cusses, governor cries, senator threatens president with violence on television, none of them have a clue what went wrong or who's responsible.

Louisiana: Democratic Senator says FEMA was slow in responding to 911 calls from Louisiana citizens.
Texas: Republican Senator says "when you call 911, the phone doesn't ring in Washington, it rings here at the local responders".

What if state and local elected officials were forced to depend on themselves and their own resources instead of calling for help from the federal government??

Texas cities would be back up and running in a few days.
Louisiana cities would still be under water next month.

Conservatives call for action,
Liberals call for help.

Paul Jacob wrote this piece on Townhall.com that is chilling. I rail all the time about how over-looked the 9th and 10th ammendments are in our Constitution.

Does everyone ever save the best for first? No, and the 1st amendment is just an underscore to what the 9th and 10th ammendments say. The two most powerful ammendments to the Constitution are the cornerstone of the explanation that is the Bill of Rights.

You see, the framers wrote so eloquently and succinctly that they assumed people would be able to understand the basic language upon which they based the Constitution. However, some members of the 1st Continental Congress wanted to make sure there could be no debate that this document was a limiter to the power of government, and not a tool to oppress the people.
